Southernism Catering
After a busy day at work, the last thing most people want to do is to cook dinner for their hungry family. Ordering dinner for the multitude of people that parent’s take care of can be a daunting task. I aimed to create a app to fix all that.

User’s come first…
Parent’s of school age children spend their day working and taking care of others, so think of what’s for dinner can be a daunting task. I wanted to take the weight off of user when they decided to order out for dinner. Having your “Favorites” already saved for a quick reorder, having a seamless checkout process, & notifying the user on the status of their order would make some of those pain points disappear.
Testing the process…
As I begin to test my prototype, I quickly realized that some of my ideas had become harder to navigate than they should have been. The “Favorite” button was not as quick and easy as I had hoped it would have been and I found myself back at the drawing board.
It should just feel natural…
We eat out, probably more than we should, but there is no reason why the design should be complicated. I worked with this design to make natural swiping and clicking gestures the best part of the experience.
